Lacazette's agent: I offered Alexandre to Zenit in the summer

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette was offered to Zenit St-Petersburg in the summer, according to his Russian agent Dmitry Cheltzov.
The Gunners forward is regarded by many to be one of the club's best players but his representative was searching for a new home for the the Frenchman.
Cheltzov revealed that he informed Zenit of Lacazette's £61million release clause, a price that was dismissed as 'crazy'.
'I offered Alexandre Lacazette to Zenit. Their sporting director Javier Ribalta said to me: 'Are you crazy? His release clause is £61m.'
'I told him you can negotiate with Arsenal. I am sure they will be ready to accept something between £43m and £48m. His salary would be £7m after tax.'
The 28-year-old has scored twice in three Premier League games this season under Unai Emery and is currently recovering from an ankle injury.

In spite of Cheltzov's claims, Lacazette is not understood to have a release clause in his contract with the Gunners.
